IWA Youth Service is looking for volunteers to help launch our new youth café youth café projects in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare.
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and responsible people with initiative and an interest in working with young people.
Can you spare one or two evenings a month to work as part of a team of volunteers supporting young people to have fun and work together?
A youth café is a relaxed, safe space for young people with or without disabilities to come and hang out, have fun, make new friends, and have new experiences and learn new skills.
Young people themselves will choose what activities take place in their youth café. They are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the project alongside adult volunteers.
Youth cafés offer young people a change to develop socially and personally, to reach their full potential, to work together, and to be involved in their community as a whole.
IWA youth cafés are open to young people with and without physical disabilities and a key goal of each café is to create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome and valued equally.
Volunteer Youth workers work together as part of a team and are involved in:
Attending youth café nights and supporting young people in socializing in safe & fun environment
Encouraging young people in their social and personal development, by learning new skills and making new friends
