IWA Charity Shops are popular hunting grounds for frugal fashion-hunters and furniture up-cyclers, and with one man’s trash another man’s treasure, they enable you to use your unwanted possessions to support others in the local community.
IWA has a total of 12 charity shops based in several locations nationwide. The charity shops rely on the public for donations and are a valuable source of financial support for local IWA services.
We are currently appealing for clothing, books, toys, unwanted gifts or furniture which can be resold.
You can support the IWA Charity Shop and essential services in your local community by dropping your donated goods directly into one of the IWA Charity Shops during business hours. Alternatively, donated items can be passed on to one of IWA’s 57 Resource and Outreach Centres throughout Ireland and arrangements will be made to ensure goods are sorted accordingly.
To arrange collection or delivery of goods please contact the IWA Charity Shop manager in your area directly. (List of IWA Charity Shops Nationwide).
Each IWA shop relies on a large team of volunteers. They work to ensure the safe collection and delivery of donated products and provide a welcoming and friendly environment for all customers passing through.
IWA Charity Shops are also a source of information and advice for people with disabilities and other mobility impairments, their families and friends. Each IWA Shop has a small information centre which provides details on the range of services the Association offers.
If you are interested in volunteering with an IWA Charity Shop please complete an application form.
IWA is a registered member of the Irish Charity Shops Association whose main aim is to pool expertise and join forces to promote common interests, and to help members run their shops more effectively and efficiently. Please look out for the ICSA logo, which is displayed by all members in their shops and also on the collection bag that you receive through your door. Be aware of bogus collectors and if in doubt ask to see the logo.
