Important Details regarding Census 2016

Census 2016 will be conducted by the Central Statistics Office (CSO). The census, which is taken every five years, is used in planning for public services at a local and national level. It also provides a detailed population breakdown.

Census Night will take place on Sunday April 24th 2016. For 3-4 weeks before April 24th, census enumerators will deliver census forms to every household in the country. If you have not received a census form by the 19th April, you must contact the CSO directly (Central Statistics Office, Skehard Road, Mahon, Cork, Ireland /Phone: +353 21 453 5000)

The census form should be filled out on Sunday 24th of April. You should complete the form in respect of each person in your household on the night, and sign the declaration at the end. The census forms will be collected by the enumerators by Monday May 23rd 2016. Forms should be kept safe until they are collected.
