IWA Presents 'Swishing the Rails’
Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is delighted to announce that a ‘Swishing the Rails’ event will take place on Thursday, 10th March 2016 at 7.30pm in the Oliver Murphy Sports Hall & Gym (IWA Campus), Blackheath Drive, Clontarf. The charity fundraising event will see pre-loved clothes, jewellery, bags, hats and shoes on sale for just €10.00 each. All funds raised on the night will go towards a new accessible bus, which will be utilised by the IWA members and service users who attend the Day Centre in Clontarf.
Donations of high-quality items are currently being accepted and can be brought to IWA’s Fundraising Department, Blackheath Drive, Clontarf. IWA’s ‘Swishing the Rails’ event, is a fun night out, an easy way to update your wardrobe and a great opportunity to support a local charity. Speaking about the event, organiser and IWA staff member, Naoise O’Reilly explained:
Swishing the Rails’ is going to be a fashionable, friendly and entertaining night. We are inviting all local ladies to enjoy a glass of prosecco, indulge in a manicure and peruse all of the fabulous items that we will have on display and also be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes. IWA are promising a great night out and an opportunity to spoil yourself, your friends and family without breaking the bank, all the while helping to raise vital funds.
On the night, guests are invited to attend a prosecco reception from 7.30pm in the Oliver Murphy Sports Centre, with the ‘Swishing’ to begin at 8.00pm and run until 10.00pm. Tickets cost €10.00 each, and a limited number will be available on the door. All pre-loved items will be sold for just €10 or less. IWA warmly invites ladies from the North Dublin and neighbouring communities to come along and support the Association.
