IWA awarded Q Mark for three successive years!

The Q Mark is an independent certification which verifies your company’s efficiency, performance and commitment to excellent standards./p>

The quality of our services is something that we take very seriously in IWA. As an organisation we try hard to ensure that we listen to what our staff, service users and funders are saying, and our ethos is focused on meeting their individual requirements./p>

IWA’s commitment and journey of continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standards of services possible continues to be recognised, by being externally awarded the Q Mark for Business Management Systems within our two largest services; Assisted Living Services (ALS) and Resource and Outreach Services in 2016. We are working towards keeping up the standard in 2017 and work has already begun, with IWA’s Quality Department preparing for the external Q Mark Audit for next year./p>

IWA operates an internal and external Quality Management System and have invested in developing our customer service standards. Through our Customer Service Charter, we are committed to serving our customers in a fair and courteous manner. Last year, our Customer Care and Information Department handled over 3,000 calls, taking feedback and dealing with queries in a professional and speedy manner./p>

Quality is embedded throughout all IWA’s services. It is part of our daily work to use a person centred approach and ensure that we are listening to what our service users are saying. Therefore, continuously striving for excellence and meeting service users expressed needs. In order to support all staff to embrace and understand Quality as part of their everyday role, IWA’s Training, Quality and Standards Departments have worked with EIQA to design a Quality Assurance training module which will be available to staff in 2017./p>

IWA was also delighted to be shortlisted at the National Q Mark Awards for Business Excellence in 2016. Speaking at the awards ceremony, CEO of IWA Rosemary Keogh explained: /p>

The Q Mark is an important independent recognition of Irish Wheelchair Association’s commitment to attaining and retaining the highest Quality Standards of services.

IWA will continue to prioritise quality in all our operations as we believe this provides a strong basis for growth and development and continuous improvement of services.

The Quality Department would like to thank all IWA staff and in particular those who were involved in the Q Mark accreditation process. The hard work, efforts and commitment of IWA staff, particularly in their focus on quality and excellence is visible everyday throughout the organisation, and we are very proud to have received the Q Mark recognition for three successive years. It gives our service users, funders and customers confidence that we are providing a quality assured service.
