IWA Mini Marathon Team
iRadio DJ Michaela Hayes runs for Irish Wheelchair Associations Mini Marathon Team
Ambassador for Irish Wheelchair Association’s Flora Women’s Mini Marathon campaign is iRadio DJ and presenter, Michaela Hayes. Leading the team of ladies from all over Ireland, Michaela joined supporters of the Association to launch the 'Run, Walk or Push' campaign inviting women to register and participate in Ireland’s largest female event which takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd June 2014, from Merrion Square, Dublin 2.
This year Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is hoping that ladies throughout Ireland will support the Association by joining Michaela Hayes and the IWA Mini Marathon team to raise vital funds for the range of essential services which the Association provides to people with physical disabilities and other mobility impairments in local communities across Ireland. IWA is hoping to have its largest team ever taking part in the event, and is appealing to women to register for the 10k event and select IWA as their charity of choice for 2014.
Speaking at the launch today, Michaela Hayes said:
I am delighted to be supporting the Irish Wheelchair Association and leading their team of supporters in this year’s Flora Women’s Mini Marathon. This will be my second time to run the 10k route and I am hoping to beat my previous record. I hope that ladies who are considering taking part this year will sign up for the event and join me to ‘Run, Walk or Push’ and enter the event on behalf of Irish Wheelchair Association.
I will be giving plenty of training tips and healthy eating advice on my show in the lead up to the Mini Marathon and Irish Wheelchair Association are available to support with fundraising ideas and suggestions.
