Please don’t buggy

in the wheelchair zone

if you are occupying this seat and a wheelchair user needs to get on the bus, please find an alternative seat!

Think of the consequences this could have on a wheelchair user or someone with a disability

One of the main issues reported by IWA members and wheelchair users who frequently use Dublin Bus is the availability of the dedicated wheelchair zone.

You may have noticed that each Dublin Bus has a dedicated section located near the front of the bus which is specifically for commuters who are wheelchair users.

If this space is not available for use when the bus pulls up at a wheelchair users stop, they will not able to access the bus and therefore miss their journey and must wait for the next bus.

This can have a significant impact for that person:…

Amy, an Irish Wheelchair Rugby Team Member says that "If a buggy is in my space, I’ll miss the game"
Michael, a wheelchair user says that "If a buggy is in my space I’ll never make my date"
Saoirse, a wheelchair user says that "If a buggy is in my space I’ll never make the interview"
