What our clients say about us

Aviva Stadium have worked very closely with the IWA in  developing a strategy for those attending events at the venue. One of the key initiatives completed in partnership with the IWA was to run a disability awareness training programme for staff including senior stewarding personnel. The course really brought home the divergence of disabilities that people have and how we at Aviva Stadium can enhance the customer experience for all concerned.

Over the last 5 years The Irish Wheelchair association have trained our Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses in Manual Handling to the highest standards.

It has been a pleasure to deal with the staff when organising these training days, they are aware of our requirements and seem to meet them with ease.

The report back from our nurses who have attended the manual handling training sessions are that they have found the day to be hugely beneficial as the trainer has tailored the session specially around their unique job role. On the day the nurse’s questions were answered fully and time was taken to make sure they were 100% happy with manual handling.

The Irish Wheelchair Association has provided Mayo Home Care Services with an excellent service, which is tailored to the needs of our Home Support organisation. Their trainers facilitate in a way which allows attendees to interact while learning skills and knowledge, which can be applied to their individual roles as Home Support Workers. Feedback from staff that attended the training say there was excellent group interaction right from the beginning, the course was interesting, informative and very well presented.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Irish Wheelchair Association for training purposes in Manual & People Handling.
