Public Transport

The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is the largest national organisation that represents and advocates on behalf of people with limited mobility; we currently have more than 20,000 members. IWA is particularly aware of the importance of accessible Transport and has representatives on a number of Public Transport User Groups. Currently IWA have representatives on the following:

  • Bus Eireann Users Group
  • Dublin Bus Users Group
  • Iarnroid Eireann Users group
  • Luas Users group
  • Public Transport Accessible Committee

Part of our representatives role is to bring commuters issues, concerns, and experiences directly to the attention of the relevant Public Transport company. People’s feedback, on what is working and what is not working well is essential for our representatives to influence positive change.

In order to support this process, we are looking for your comments in relation to travelling on Public Transport.
