Check out the YWI website to find the latest news from their clubs and see if they have any activities in your area. They cater for the changing needs of young people by developing and adapting a wide variety of relevant and accessible services. They run local events that young people can go to and there is plenty of variety to choose from.


Foróige, National Youth Development Organisation | www.foroige.ie
Foróige believes that each person is unique and creative and can contribute to improving the world in which they live. Go to this site to find a club in your area or read about what they are doing. They even have a citizenship awards programme that all youth groups can enter.


No Name Club | www.nonameclub.ie
Want to join a youth group with a difference? No Name Clubs are run by and for young people aged 15 years and over who come together in safe and lively environments where there’s fun, friendship and enjoyment. Check them out to see if there is one near you.


Macra na Feirme | www.macra.ie
Want to find a group of young adults in your community? Macra is for young people between the ages of 17 and 35. The organisation has a network of clubs with six key areas of activity: agriculture, sports, travel, public speaking, community involvement and performing arts. Check them out to see if there a group near you.

Check out the latest campaigns that NYCI are running. You may find out about issues that are relevant to you! You can sign up for their regular e-zine Clár na nÓg and keep up to date on what’s going on around the country.


Irish Youth Work Centre | www.iywc.ie
A great place to find information on all youth work matters. If you are a leader or working with young people you will nearly always find answers to questions here. If they don’t have an answer they’ll point you in the right direction.


Volunteer Service International | www.vsi.ie
Have you ever wanted to live and work in another country? VSI may be able to link you up with the right people to help make this happen. They work with organisations all over the world developing volunteering opportunities for people. Check them out and give them a shout if you are interested.


SpunOut | www.spunout.ie
This is a one-stop-shop for almost everything that is relevant to young people’s health, wellbeing, rights, latest news and events, live chat forums and interesting articles to make you think. They also run an academy of activism and the SuperHero Grants scheme to support young people with getting their good ideas into action. Dail na nÓg is the national youth parliament of Ireland. It gives young people the opportunity to represent the views of those under the voting age and to call for changes to improve the lives of young people in Ireland. Check out their campaigns and ways that you can get involved.

NAYD is the development organisation for youth drama and youth theatre in Ireland. They have a membership of over 50 youth theatres across the country so check out what is going on in your area. You may discover your own acting talent or go along and enjoy one of their performances. Check it out…

Headstrong respects the voice of young people, and believes that all young people should be given the supports they need to develop good mental health. Check out their website for info on their services, read articles on youth mental health, find out what they do and maybe find out how you can get involved.


ECO UNESCO | www.ecounesco.ie
ECO UNESCO is Ireland’s environmental education and youth organisations and works with young people to create a better understanding of the environment, how to protect it and promotes a range of fun and interesting projects and ideas that can be used in youth clubs across the country. The site acts as a support to teachers, students and parents at both primary and post primary levels.

This website is a useful source of information on financial support for further and higher education and includes a section on grants for people with disabilities. Check it out if you are thinking of applying.

The CIB provides lots of useful information on third level and further education including rights and entitlements, getting advice and support services available. If you are looking for options this is a good place to start.


National Adult Literacy Agency | www.nala.ie
NALA is committed to making sure people with literacy and numeracy difficulties can fully take part in society and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs. If you want to improve your reading, writing or working with numbers then check out this site and see if there is a service in your area.


National Learning Network | www.nln.ie
NLN is Ireland's largest non-Government training organisation with centres in almost every county. They offer over 40 different certified vocational programmes to people who may otherwise find it difficult to gain employment and to develop the skills to move forward with their careers. They also provide continuous professional development courses, assessment services for children, adolescents and adults with specific learning difficulties and a disability support service for VEC colleges in Dublin.

Are you experiencing financial difficulties and are having problems paying bills? Do you need advice on money matters? MABS is a Free, Confidential and Independent service. Their website has a range of suggestions and supports to help with these questions or other money matters you want to explore. The website has a self-help guide that may help you find a solution to your money worries. MABS has a helpline 1890 283 438 which is available from Monday to Friday (9am to 8pm) for the price of a local call.

If you want to know your rights as a consumer e.g. if you were treated unfairly by a shop, then this site could be useful for you. It is managed by the National Consumer Agency and provides a lot of information that is of interest or concern to consumers.

This interactive website helps you compare the costs of price plans for mobile phones, home phones and broadband. It could give you information on how to get a better deal.

This website gives you information on financial products and services to help you make financial decisions. This is probably more for young adult members so check it out and get informed before making any decisions. They have a jargon buster to help with the big words and they have a section on big life events too.

This site provides information on all issues relating to equality and the steps to take if you feel you are being discriminated against. You can also read about some of the cases they have taken and won on disability grounds.


www.fairtrade.ie
Find out how you can make a difference by thinking about what you buy. This website covers issues relating to better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.

This may seem a little odd here but if you ever wanted to know how the courts system works in Ireland this is one place to go. They have a schools section that is designed for young people. They even have a mock court competition where schools can run their own courts and win prizes for their work. Interesting reading…


Children’s Rights Alliance | www.childrensrights.ie
The Children’s Rights Alliance aims to improve the lives of all children under 18, through securing the necessary changes in Ireland’s laws, policies and services. It is a coalition of over 90 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working to secure the rights and needs of children in Ireland, by campaigning for the full implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
