In light of An Taoiseach’s announcement this morning regarding national containment measures for Covid 19, IWA management and staff have implemented mitigation measures and will continue to provide essential services to our members and services users with advice and guidance from the HSE

Please continue to check this website for further updates as important information will be updated regularly. Continue to follow the personal advice from the HSE regarding handwashing, cough and sneeze etiquette and social distancing

Your IWA Coordinator or member of the team will make individual contact with you if there are any changes to your service

As you may have heard on the news, the first cases of Coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland have been reported.

In light of this, IWA has been in contact with the HSE to ensure we are taking all necessary steps to help reduce the spread of the virus.

In the links below, please find helpful advice designed to provide you with information regarding the virus itself and the actions you should take to help prevent the spread of the virus.

As you will see the main preventative action recommended is effective hand washing. We have also communicated to all our staff regarding the actions required to minimise the spread of the virus.

HSE General Information Regarding the Coronavirus

The symptoms of the coronavirus are:

  • A cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Fever (high temperature)

If you have symptoms associated with the Coronavirus, are diagnosed with the virus, or have been in direct contact with somebody who has been diagnosed with the virus, please ensure that you make contact with your GP by phone immediately. Also please make contact by phone with your IWA Service Manager as a matter of urgency.

We wish to assure you that IWA will follow the advice and guidance of the HSE with regards to delivering services and supporting service users during this time. As this is a fast-moving situation IWA will continue to monitor the situation and provide you with further advice and updates, as and when required.
