Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) runs a completely unique Corporate Wheelchair Basketball Team Building Days at our facility in Clontarf.

The sport is played at the highest levels of performance by national teams at European, World & Paralympic level and now also domestically in national leagues across the world – enjoyed and followed by fans and players alike.

The power of Wheelchair Basketball rests not only in its ability to positively impact the lives of those who participate, but also to influence and inspire those who witness the sport first hand.

“Simply Brilliant! Wheelchair basketball is a fantastic team building day. Amazing to see how quickly individuals gel as a team playing this event.

Introduces humility through awareness of wheelchair use, but in a way that’s fun. Highly recommend this event for any teams that want to create some high energy for their people.”

Why support IWA?

IWA is one of Ireland’s largest and best known charities with over 2,500 staff. Every day, every week, every hour, IWA positively makes a difference to the lives of people with disabilities. Our 1,600 personal assistants provide over two million hours of support every year and we deliver services to 1,954 people annually through our 57 Resource Outreach Centres (ROCs) nationwide.

IWA provide supports for young people through IWA Youths Services and delivers training to people with physical disabilities through our Rehabilitative Training Units based in three locations in Dublin, Kilkenny and Wexford.

We must raise €5,000,000 to support our activities every year just to keep the lights on. With your support we will be able to continue making those vital day to day differences in the lives of people with physical disabilities.
