60k Stroll or Roll FAQs
What is the challenge?
Our challenge is to walk, roll, stroll or run 2km a day throughout the month of October. Day one is 1st October and the final day is 31st. You can have lots of fun while challenging yourself to take on the distance AND make your wellbeing a priority.
How do I join the challenge?
We would love to have you join the 60k in October challenge, simply join our Facebook Group at and then request your fundraising pack.
What is in the fundraising pack?
You receive a welcome letter, information about IWA, a handy tracker calendar, fundraising tips and, if you requested them, a pair of funky, exclusive Irish Wheelchair Association socks.
When will I get my fundraising pack?
You should receive the fundraising pack within 5 working days of having requested it. If you have not received it, then please contact us at challenges@iwa.ie
How do I fundraise for the campaign?
The easiest way is to set up a Facebook Fundraising page and then share it with your friends, family and colleagues.
How do I keep track of the distance I have walked?
You can use the tracker which comes in your pack. Just write down how many kilometres you do at the end of each day. You can also use an App on your mobile phone. Don’t forget to post in the Facebook Group and let us know how you’re doing!
Are there any apps to help me track my distance?
Using an app can make it easier to track your achievements and share it with others. Many apps are available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, such as Strava or MapMyFitness.
Can I walk more or less than 60k?
Of course, if 60k doesn’t work for you, you can stroll, walk, run, or roll whatever distance is right for you. The most important thing is to take part, have fun and raise some money for Irish Wheelchair Association.
How do I get in contact with Irish Wheelchair Association?
If you have any questions or comments, you can contact Adam, Vanessa, Breige or Megan at challenges@iwa.ie
