A Boy from the North West – The Jack Kerrigan Story
‘A Boy from the North West – The Jack Kerrigan Story', features the memoirs of one of the Irish Wheelchair Association’s founding members, Donegal-man Jack Kerrigan, and tells the poignant description not just of Jack’s survival, but of the way his life was transformed by friendship, love and sport.
Irish Wheelchair Association hopes the documentary will raise awareness of disability issues, celebrate the history of the organisation, and the story of a changing Ireland, in which many people have gone from living ‘behind closed doors’ to enjoying full and independent lives in their communities.
Written & researched by Joanna Marsden and produced by Susan Dennehy, Irish Wheelchair Association is delighted to support this special radio documentary. The documentary has been funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, and will be broadcast by Newstalk 106-108fm.
