Etihad Skyline Tour- Croke Park

Etihad Skyline Tour- Croke Park

In early January every year I set myself goals, things to do and places to visit before the end of that year.   One of the places I wanted to go and experience this year was the Croke Park Skyline tour.

In July a group of us went to Croke Park and we ventured up on the roof where the Skyline tour takes place.

The lift went up 17 floors high and out we got to the amazing views of Dublin City.  I was speechless!  There are five viewing platforms where you can see different parts of the city.  For me it certainly did have the WOW factor.

Unfortunately the weather was unpredictable with heavy downpours that day.  To say we got wet is an understatement! We were like drowned rats coming off the roof and I didn’t get many pictures.

I couldn’t go on a Croke Park tour without a chance to get out onto the famous pitch.  It is so big and quiet when it’s not a match day, you can hear a pin drop.

We dried off and had a lovely lunch in the restaurant on site and finished off the day in the G.A.A. Museum where you can see all the GAA memorabilia.

There is something special about Croke Park. Every time I go up to it I feel proud to be Irish and get really excited to be part of the atmosphere in our own native game in a wonderful accessible stadium.

Even though it rained it didn’t take away from the happy spirits of the group and no doubt we will take a road trip up again soon.
