Share a Holiday in Share
On the 19th of July a group from the youth service went to Fermanagh to a place called ‘Share Holiday Village’. The day began with us all meeting up in Blanchardstown Shopping centre.
A group of 14 in total from the youth group met up and we all got the IWA buses to Fermanagh- two hours later we arrived at share village. We got our houses (a lad’s one and a girl’s one) and once we got settled in, one of members from share village gave us a tour around the campus.
We came back and ordered food then headed out for hour to the bar. When we came from the bar the lads and girls went in to their own houses. However, the lads decided to some ‘knick knacks’ on the girl’s house and hide some of their clothes!
We had an early start on the Saturday morning for canoeing which was great and beautiful weather for it too. After lunch we did rock climbing and archery. We played football for a while then and had a huge water fight to cool down! J
Saturday night and we all got cleaned up and dressed up after the wet day we had! We went back to bar for a laugh and some background music.
On the Sunday we went on a cruise in the unique countryside of Upper Lough Erne. We were able to see all of the secret views of Fermanagh, a lovely area.
A great weekend was had by all and we hope to go back in 2014 to experience it all again.
Share Village is very good for all types of groups, families and even team building for workplaces.
