Youth Breaks 2012
IWA Youth Service is planning a range of exciting youth breaks for teenagers and young adults living in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare this summer.
Teens Head West in May
In May a group of teenagers will head West again for a long weekend in Co. Roscommon, staying in Cuisle, Irish Wheelchair Association's accessible holiday centre. Cuisle is a popular destination for teenage breaks, with young people travelling to Roscommon with Cuisle staff and Youth Workers from Dublin, where they have a chance to get away from it all for a while.
The group meets with Youth Workers and Cuisle Duty Manager on arrival and decide what they will do during their stay. Cuisle offers the chance to hang out and socialise, shoot pool, watch TV,or play video games. Each evening there are quizzes, live music and disco with local guest DJs. During the day the group usually gets out and about heading shopping or swimming, or to the movies or bowling.
Adventure up North for Young Adults in July
Adventurous young adults will have the chance to try something completely different this year with an activity break planned in Share Village, Co. Fermanagh. Dublin-based youth workers are looking for a group of young people who are up for the challenge of an all-action holiday featuring the likes of kayaking, archery and even rock-climbing. This is a great opportunity to try something new and exciting in a new venue. Share Village offers a huge range of activities is in a fully accessible environment.
Chill Out in Cuisle in August
In August, young adults can take part in a week-long break to Cuisle where they can enjoy a break away at a more relaxed pace than July's group. Many of your Youth Service members will be familiar with Cuisle and all it has to offer and we will be running another break in Roscommon this August.
In 2012, IWA Youth Breaks will give teenagers and young adults from Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare a chance to have an affordable holiday away with other young people in an accessilbe and comfortable environment where they can have a bit of craic, make new friends and enjoy a range activities and day-trips if they like.
Places on Youth Breaks are limited and often in demand so if you are interested in getting involved please contact us as soon as possible. You can call Stephen on 086 32 0449 or David on 087 050 6946 for more information.
