Irish Wheelchair Association to reopen community centres across Ireland.

Irish Wheelchair Association is very pleased to announce, that following the success of our community outreach services delivered during the Covid-19 pandemic, IWA services will move to a model of outreach and in centre-based activity programmes from the 31st August 2020.

This will ensure that services are provided in a person-centred manner, where individual needs and requirements are met. IWA staff will be in contact with service users over the coming weeks, to discuss a return to centre-based services

In compliance with HSE guidelines and to keep service users and staff as safe and healthy as possible, IWA will be implementing health checks, social distancing and hygiene practices in all locations.

This protocol will form part of Phase 4 of the CSD Contingency Plan and will be presented to service users as part of their induction, back into centre-based services.
