Her Moves Event

Calling all 13-17 year old girls in IWA!

IWA-Sport is hosting our next Her Moves Event on 11th October 2025.

This exciting event welcomes girls aged 13-17 years with a physical disability to attend accompanied by a friend or sister of the same age.

Time: 11am – 2:00pm

Registration required by Friday 3rd October 2025

Who can Attend?

13–17-year-old girls with a physical disability, along with a friend or sister of the same age.

What you can expect

We want to promote a “Cultural Change for Females in Sport”. The day will consist of

1. PoundFit – Get moving through dance that incorporates the movements of Table Tennis.
2. Table Tennis Skills – bat and balls skills, hand-eye co-ordination, reflexes, basic strokes.
3. Art – work in groups and use art to visualise the concept of mixing ‘Sport & Art’ and design a logo/symbol to reflect the 4 ‘F’s – Female, Fun, Friendship and Family.

Our Aim for the Day

The aim is to ensure all girls feel empowered, building their confidence and feeling pride through participating in physical activity and sport, while having fun. It will also demonstrate that being sporty does not always mean ‘medals at Paralympics’!

Registered participants will

• Receive a free Her Moves T-shirt & goodie bag
• Get the opportunity to make new friends.
• Have the chance to try something different.
