IWA-Sport are excited to reveal that applications are now open to attend Par-Olympia in Athens this September.

Are you interesting in traveling to Athens to take part in a week-long Para Sport and cultural event?

Par-Olympia is offering you the opportunity to do so as part of the Irish delegation, alongside 11 other partner countries.

Par-Olympia is a recreational and informative Sport Event to realise a diverse and inclusive society through Sports. Par-Olympia is an Erasmus Sport Program with the partnership of fourteen partners from 12 European Countries. The event takes place from September 27th until October 4th.

They will host approximately 250 participants (100 Youths with Disabilities) from 12 European countries. Parallel to that, agents (coaches, volunteers & facilitators) will have the opportunity through seminars and satellite activities to improve their skills toward inclusion. Inclusion in and through sport by providing every person full respect, dignity, value and belonging in any roles they may play – athlete, coach, official, administrator, or spectator.

To be a part of this exciting opportunity and part of the Irish delegation, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • This project is open to all IWA-Sport members between the age of 18-40
  • Must be an active member of IWA-Sport
  • Must be open to participating in a variety of sports at the recreational level
  • Must be available for the duration of the project (September 27th – October 4th)
