They came, they participated, and they had the most wonderful time!

Irish Wheelchair Association’s annual Run ‘n’ Roll, sponsored by Liberty Insurance, took place on Sunday in St Anne’s Park in Raheny, and it couldn’t have gone better with even the sun making an appearance to add to the fun-filled atmosphere.

Dave Barry of IWA said: “We had amazing support with approximately 450 coming out to enjoy a wonderful morning of exercise, fun and sunshine galore.”

Among the runners, rollers and strollers were people with varied abilities and disabilities from every corner of Ireland and from three to 83 years of age!

“The atmosphere was electric and we really couldn’t have wished for a better day; it felt like one big party!” continued Dave.

“The Run ‘n’ Roll team would like to say a big thanks to Liberty Insurance for the huge support they showed in supporting us to run the event.

“We make a great team with Liberty and we are looking forward to the 2024 event already.”

All proceeds raised go directly to IWA’s Young Adult Service in Dublin

Thanking all the participants who took part on the day Dave added:

“What took place is truly what IWA is all about; Inclusion, Courage, Equality, Excellence and maybe nothing as important on the day….fun!”
