All support, no matter how big or small is much appreciated. Thank you!

Our nationwide fleet of 127 wheelchair accessible buses are entirely funded by donations. So many of our members rely on our bus service to get them to their local centre and into the community. Without this service, many of our members would be trapped in their homes. Fundraising supports this work and so much more.

4 steps to get started!

  1. Decide what your event will be.
  2. Register with IWA. We will send you information to support your event.
  3. Set up an online fundraising page via Enthuse. Funds come directly to IWA.
  4. Organise and promote your event. Social Media can be a great way to help with this. Good luck!

What is the right event for you?

Here are some popular fundraising ideas!

  • Coffee Morning – Host this in your own home, school, workplace or local GAA Club. We have found that local shops and restaurants are very generous often donating coffee or milk. Charge an entry fee or simply leave a bucket at the door for people to decide on their own amount. You’ll be amazed at how generous people can be for such a good cause.
  • Table quiz – This can be done in person or online. Host a small table quiz with family or go bigger and arrange a night out in your local pub or club. Approach local businesses asking them to provide raffle prizes and you can sell tickets as well as having an entry fee per table. This is a fun night out for all but remember to warn people that the quizmaster’s word is final.
  • Sponsored walk, cycle, spin-a-thon or any physical challenge – Challenge yourself by taking on a running, cycling or spinning event. Recruit some friends to take part too. You can set up an online fundraising page to make it easy to collection donations too.
  • Fashion show – A fashion show is a great way to raise funds and awareness for IWA. Ask a local business to sponsor the event and raise funds by charging admission. Invite your local community heroes or celebrities who can also help you spread the word.
