A day of sport, community spirit and generosity is set to unfold this summer as golfers from across the region gather for a 4Ball Scramble in support of Irish Wheelchair Association. This fun event will take place on Friday, 26th June, 2026, at Balbriggan Golf Club.

Organised to raise vital funds for Irish Wheelchair Association’s amazing work, the event promises an enjoyable day for golfers of all skill levels. The popular 4-ball scramble format encourages teamwork and camaraderie, making it an ideal outing for friends, colleagues and local businesses. Organiser Mark Keogh says “This promises to be a fantastic day out — a great opportunity to enjoy some friendly competition, connect with colleagues and support a very important cause at the same time.

Participants will compete in teams of four. Team entry is priced at €240 per fourball. There will be prizes, food and networking making it a fun and rewarding day for everyone involved.

Beyond the fairways, the event highlights the ongoing work of Irish Wheelchair Association, which provides essential supports and services to people with physical disabilities across Ireland. Imelda, who is an IWA member, talks about how important her weekly visits to her local Community Centre are to her. “I really enjoy coming here. It’s a great outlet. I enjoy mixing with people two days a week. If I couldn’t come, I would be on my own all week. I love the chat. At the end, I am tired but it’s great.”

If you would like to join us on the day, please register your interest by giving Mark a call at 018186413 or emailing him at mark.keogh@iwa.ie with your preferred time slot. Hurry as time slots will fill up fast. Even if you cannot make it to Balbriggan on the day, contact Mark about sponsorship packages and recognition opportunities that are available.

For those looking to enjoy a day on the greens while making a real difference, 26th June offers the perfect opportunity to step up to the tee and support IWA.
