Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) celebrates the successful re-opening of their Community Centre in Kilkenny after extensive renovation works. The centre, located at Claddagh Court, had been closed for several months to bring the building up to fire regulation standards.

A special celebration took place on Tuesday, 20th Feb, where members, employees, and special guests came together to mark this important occasion. Mayor of Kilkenny, Joe Malone, joined newly appointed IWA CEO, Ann Marie O’Grady and members Daniel Bradshaw and Marie Kenny did the honours in officially opening  the centre and everyone got to admire the artwork on display from talented members.

The Community Centre at Claddagh Court is a vital space for IWA members to access the many programmes IWA offer including therapies, and learning supports, as well as a place to socialise and have fun with friends. This re-opening will benefit current and future members for years to come.
