We’re delighted to bring you the June edition of Spoke Out, our member magazine—packed full of engaging features and important updates.

As we move into peak holiday season, this month’s Mobility Life feature is especially timely, offering practical tips and accessible travel tools to help you plan your next adventure with confidence.

Speaking of adventures, a big shoutout to Ciaran McDonagh, IWA’s Community Fundraising Coordinator, who is preparing to take on a skydive in support of IWA! We wish him the very best as he gears up for this incredible challenge to raise vital funds.

In our Spotlight feature, we’re thrilled to share all the details about the upcoming Fitness Inclusion Games taking place on Friday, June 27th. These Games celebrate the hard work and achievements of participants in the Fitness Inclusion Programme—many of whom had never been inside a gym before joining. Their stories are truly inspiring and showcase the life-changing impact of the programme.

Elsewhere in this issue:

  • IWA members speak out at the Pre-Budget Campaign launch outside Leinster House.
  • We highlight the incredible work of volunteers in the heart of Kerry who support our members every day.
  • A look back at the key moments and discussions from our recent AGM.
  • And in Sport, wheelchair basketball player Hannah Walsh reflects on her growth and insights six months after completing the Dr. Oliver Murphy Youth Leadership Course.

We hope you enjoy reading this edition as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
