Storm Éowyn continues and the aftermath is being assessed.

We are aware that strong winds continue to impact certain areas more than others across the country. Power outages, fallen trees, and impassible roads seem to be the big issues affecting some members and employees.

We wish to acknowledge the incredible efforts of our people over the last 24 hours and those who have continued to deliver services today. Some of our people stayed overnight and others altered their working hours to help their colleagues and to support our members today. Thank you!

We would also like to thank our partners in the Health Service Executive (HSE) and other essential services for their support.

As we speak, our assisted living service teams are mobilised and will continue to deliver essential services in certain areas, where possible. Our teams across the country remain in contact with members.

There is significant damage and disruption across most counties and it will take some days for things to fully return to normal. The warnings vary by location so please do check the advice for your local area before venturing out. Visit Met Eireann’s webpage.

Stay safe
