IWA-Sport and Fingal County Council Sport Office are pleased to unveil that an exciting and new multi-sport club is coming to Fingal, creating an opportunity for children with physical disabilities to try para sports.

Thanks to the support from the Equality, Inclusion and Diversity Sport Ireland/Dormant Accounts fund, on Friday 12th April, IWA-Sport and Fingal County Council Sport Office will launch the Fingal Multi-Sport Club. Suitable for children aged 5-15 and with physical disabilities, the club will allow children to come together and try para sports, regardless of their ability.

Taking place at Balbriggan Community College from 6:30pm to 7:30pm weekly, the club will allow children to try various sports, such as wheelchair basketball, para athletics, wheelchair rugby and more.

Speaking on the launch of the new club and the importance of multi-sport club’s for people with physical disabilities, IWA-Sport National Operations Manager Paul Ryan said:

This junior multi-sport club for children with physical disabilities is not just about playing games; it’s about fostering inclusion, building confidence, nurturing resilience and developing life skills that will support your child’s life journey.

This club will create an environment where every child, regardless of ability, can discover their strengths and shine in a supportive space where differences are celebrated, empowering your child to reach their full potential.
