IWA-Sport are delighted to inform IWA members that the Oliver Murphy Youth Leadership Programme returns this October and accepting registration now.

The programme provides IWA members aged 16-20 with opportunities to develop and build on their leadership skills. The course runs over the duration of three days from October 29th to 31st at Presentation College, Carlow.

In that time, members will go through multiple modules that will encourage them to put leadership skills to good use within Para Sport and also in everyday situations.

The Oliver Murphy Youth Leadership Programme will provide introduction to coaching various Para Sports and within Junior Multi-Sport Clubs. It’ll also provide those on the programme with leadership fundamentals.

IWA-Sport aims to empower the participants to make positive differences through effective leadership. Also, supporting our young members with practical skills in our sport settings to help them become leaders while enabling them to grow in confidence, inspire and have vision to be pioneers within sport.

The outcome of this project will see participants become empowered to lead among their peers and become advocates for the work of IWA and disability issues through a structured education programme.

The 3-day course is free and registration is now open for IWA members, who can also opt to bring a friend or family member of the same age group too.
