We would be delighted to have you join our team of brave participants supporting us in our vision of an Ireland where people with disabilities enjoy equal rights, choices and opportunities in how they live their lives.

This is the ultimate team building day for adventurous types and those who would like to tick an abseil off their bucket list. Our next abseil events take place in Dalkey Quarry on July 26th 2025 and we are delighted to bring back the unforgettable Croke Park abseil challenge on October 17th 2025, book now to ensure your spot.

  • Open to those over 18, this abseil does not require any fitness element or training.
  • Some weight restrictions may apply.
  • Unfortunately, this event is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Please follow the steps below to confirm your place and pay your registration fee of €60 per person.

As well as the registration fee, there is a minimum fundraising amount to be raised.

Plenty of support and advice will be provided on how to reach this and we have a fundraising platform on which you can set up a fundraising page to share with friends and family asking them for their support.

Funds raised will go directly towards ensuring that Irish Wheelchair Association can continue to deliver vital services to our 20,000 members nationwide.

Abseil events

Dalkey Quarry Abseil

Date: Saturday, 26th July 2025
Location: Dalkey Quarry, Dublin.
Registration Fee: €60 per person
Fundraising Target: Minimum of €300

This event is open to individuals over 18 years of age. No prior abseiling experience or specific fitness level is required. Please note that weight restrictions may apply and, unfortunately, this event is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Croke Park Abseil

Date: Friday, 17th October 2025
Location: Croke Park Stadium, Dublin
Registration Fee: €60 per person
Fundraising Target: Minimum of €500

Experience the thrill of abseiling 150ft from one of Europe’s largest stadiums. This event is also open to those over 18, with no prior experience necessary. Weight restrictions may apply, and currently, this event is not accessible for wheelchair users. Due to the higher costs of renting Croke Park, we are asking each participant to raise a minimum of €500.

  • Pay Registration Fee:
    Secure your spot by completing the registration form and paying the €60 fee.
  • Set Up Fundraising Page:
    After registration, you’ll receive instructions to create your personal fundraising page to help you reach the fundraising target.

Funds raised will directly support IWA’s vital services for our 20,000 members nationwide.
