Irish Wheelchair Association has announced that Rosemary Keogh will leave her role as Chief Executive Officer of the Association in August 2023.

Rosemary has provided strategic leadership at a national level for IWA’s Advocacy, Disability Services, and IWA-Sport during her tenure.

Speaking of her move, Rosemary said;

“This has not been an easy decision to make as IWA has come to mean so much to me, however, a key measure for every CEO is to know when it’s time to move on and for me, that time has come. My seven years at IWA have been enormously fulfilling and rewarding and although there have also been challenges along the way, I am very proud of what the Association has achieved during my tenure. It has been my privilege to work with the most dedicated and selfless teams and to drive forward IWA’s vision of a truly inclusive society. However, it is now the right time for me to move on and for someone else to take over the helm, and bring new energy, perspective and ideas to the CEO role.”

The Board of Directors of IWA thanks Rosemary for her service to the Association and wishes her every success in her future career in the Civil Service. Speaking ahead of IWA’s AGM on May 26th, Chairman Martin Kelly said;

“During her tenure, Rosemary has led IWA’s Strategy to be a thriving, independent organisation; fostered a culture where people are firmly at the heart of everything we do; and reinforced IWA’s reputation as a key strategic partner for the HSE, Government Departments, and our colleagues in the wider disability sector.”

A process to recruit IWA’s next CEO will commence shortly and further details will be announced in due course. IWA will not be accepting any unsolicited applications from candidates or proposals from recruitment agencies at this time.
