IWA Sport empowers women and young girls with physical disabilities to get involved in sport as coaches, volunteers, club members, athletes, advocates, leaders and participants from grassroots to the elites.

We do this by focusing on creating opportunities across four important pillars:

Active Participation
Visibility
Coaching & Leadership
Governance

We work in partnership with clubs, creating inspiring and exciting female-focused programmes that support existing members and encourage new women and girls to take our wide range of sports, providing opportunities for involvement in a wide range of events and learning experiences.

We identify and remove barriers to female participation across all disability sport. Our goal is to support, inspire and positively change the current narrative faced by women and young girls in sport today.

IWA Sport encompasses the #WomenInSportIRE initiative into our strategy to ensure there is a strong female focus at the forefront of everything we do. Young girls, are the ones who will leave a legacy and powerfully impact disability sport in the future – supporting them on their path to success is central to our work.
